Vehicle Downtime
Fleet & Tracking → Vehicle Downtime shows what breakdowns and accidents have cost, vehicle by vehicle, ranked worst first — the read for spotting chronic offenders that belong on the disposal list.
Choosing the window
Use the From and To date pickers; leave both blank for all time. Only vehicles with at least one recorded incident appear.
Reading the table
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Incidents | All incidents in the window |
| Open | Incidents not yet resolved — shown in amber when non-zero |
| Resolved | Incidents closed off |
| Downtime | Total hours off the road across resolved incidents |
| Avg / incident | Mean downtime per resolved incident |
| Recovery cost | Total spend recovering from incidents |
| Last incident | Date of the most recent one |
Open incidents still accrue downtime. Their hours are not in the totals yet, so a vehicle with open incidents is at least as bad as its numbers show — treat the downtime figure as a floor.
What to look for
- A vehicle with high downtime and high recovery cost is a repair-or-replace decision — compare against its earnings on Vehicle Profitability.
- Frequent small incidents can point at driver behaviour — cross-reference the Driver Risk leaderboard.
- Recurring defects behind the incidents live in the workshop's Defect Backlog.
