Trial Balance
Finance → Trial Balance lists every ledger account's balance for an employer as at a chosen date — the accountant's first stop for checking the books.
Choosing the view
Pick the legal entity in the Employer picker and the date in As at. The statement shows all posted movement up to and including that date.
Reading the table
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Account | The account code |
| Name | The account's name |
| Debit / Credit | The account's balance on its natural side |
The footer totals both columns and states the verdict: Balanced when total debits equal total credits, or OUT OF BALANCE — which should never happen and means a posting problem worth escalating immediately.
Where the numbers come from
Every operational event that carries money — fuel fills, workshop job cards, duty payments, invoices — posts through to the ledger automatically. The trial balance is therefore always current; there is no month-end preparation step.
