Customs & Clearing
Compliance → Customs keeps the customs paper trail for cross-border trips in two parts on one page: the clearing agents you work with (master data), and a per-trip customs dossier of the documents lodged.
Clearing agents
Register each licensed agent once in Register agent: Agent name and Country are required; Customs code, Contact name / email / phone are optional. Agents list with an Active badge and can be removed with ✕. The same list feeds the agent picker when lodging documents.
The customs dossier
Pick the Trip and the dossier shows every customs document lodged against it. Lodge new ones in Lodge document:
- Document type — from the fixed vocabulary: SAD 500 (bill of entry), Road manifest (CN2), Certificate of origin, Commercial invoice, Packing list, Transit document (T1), Gate pass, or Other.
- Reference — the document's number (e.g.
SAD-2026-00874). - Clearing agent — optionally attribute the document to an agent.
- Issued on and Notes — optional.
The outstanding-core notice
If any of the core export documents are missing from the dossier, an advisory notice lists them: "Outstanding core documents: … These are advisory and do not block the trip."
Advisory only. Unlike the blocking checklists from Requirement Templates, the customs dossier never gates dispatch — it is a track-and-archive record for the border file and post-trip audit.
